Church of Hope

Welcome to the Church of Hope.  Hope is defined by Webster’s Dictionary as “a desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment”.  All of us have had desires that we expected to be fulfilled.  And yet, the majority of us would have to admit that we have been disappointed in seeing our hopes fulfilled.

We have a desire to be loved by another person.  We desire to be wealthy or comfortable.  We have a desire to feel like we matter.  Sadly, it seems that hope eludes us.  Desires are left unfulfilled.  We had hopes.  But they are fleeting.

What is the solution?  We all need hope.  How do we receive it?  The Psalmist, King David, said in Psalm 62:5, “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.”  Hope is available.  We must look to God alone.

At the Church of Hope we celebrate hope fulfilled in our lives, by way of a relationship with God, through Jesus Christ.  Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  (John 10:10).  His sacrifice on the cross was to pay the penalty of our sin, guarantee our hope of eternal life, and grant to us the right to become children of God.

I invite you to hope.  Hope in Jesus Christ.  Welcome to the Church of Hope.
